Burnt Ice

Chapter 2

I didn’t wake up until the next morning, or, at the least, what seemed like morning. I looked around and saw, Donatello leaning against the wall asleep, Venus was lying on the floor, covered in a blanket and well, Michelangelo was sleeping in such a weird position, I don’t think I could ever describe it. I heard Mumbling out side the door, it sounded like Raphael and Leonardo. I wanted to hear what they were saying, but it was all muffled. I knew my leg was broken, so I tried to get off the coach as quietly as I could and ‘army crawled’ to the door. Once I got there, I hoisted myself up by the handle so I could stand up right. I cracked the door open to hear them arguing, it was about me.

"Raph, why did you do that? You scared Aeval half to death! She was on the brink of crying last night! Why in hell did you do that?!"

"Didn’t mean to scare her Leo! And besides, Aeval ain’t her real name."

"Oh, then what is, Raph? What is?"

"I don’t know! I just…"

"Hey Aeval!" Some one behind me said, I quickly turned around and loosing my balance, and the next thing I knew was in my shell trying my hardest to get up. I look up to see Michelangelo , "Uhm, oops sorry Aeval I didn’t mean to startle you."

"Sure Michelangelo, sure." I look around to see that every one else was around me as well.

"What happened?" Asked Leo, he bent down and helped me up.

"Nothing, I just lost my balance, that’s all. All I need is a good pair of crutches."

"we’ll get you some, are you hungry?"

"Th-that’s why I got up" I lied as I looked up to him and the rest were about half a foot taller than me, Venus seemed to be the only one some what close to my height. Leonardo and Donatello led me to a huge room, which was actually an old abandoned subway! I looked forward to see a ladder leading upward to who knows where. I had a yearning to go exploring, but, yet I knew I couldn’t on account of my leg. They led me to a coach, which was directly in front of a T.V. set, I began to wonder to my self how they came to be. But, even if they told me, I couldn’t tell them about I became like this, I couldn’t remember. I sighed, what was I going to do? I knew I had Amnesia, but I didn’t know If I could tell them, much less trust them.

My thoughts were broken off by the sudden appearance of a shadow, I looked up surprised, Raphael, what did he want now? "Well?" Raphael asked.

"Huh? Uhm w-w-what?" I asked confused. Sighing Raphael answers, "What do you want to eat? I can’t read minds you know!"

"Uhm, did I ever give you the impression that I thought you could?

Anything would be fine by me."

"Would cereal do, Your Majesty?" Raphael asks in a mocking tone.

I scowled at him and asked "How am I to get it my self? I would, if I could, but I can’t! I could if I had crutches, but I don’t!" I stared at him angrily. Raphael backed up surprised, I guess he has not had many experiences with girls. I again began expecting the large room, to my left was a large computer with other electronic things that I couldn’t recognize. To my right large dummies that looked like they had been attacked. ‘That’s weird’, I thought, near the large ladder, I saw a case full of weapons, two swords, sticks that seemed to be connected by a chain, a bow, three small silver balls, and Raphael’s daggers. I began to think about when Raphael threw that one dagger… For some reason, I didn’t trust the other turtles, I had to get out, but how?

Where would I go? Why didn’t I trust them? I didn’t know why I did not trust them, but maybe it was something else, a feeling I had in my gut… Other turtles, two of them, in danger, trapped, turtles that I was familiar with in some way, I had to save them… Alone
